Enrolling on Classroom and Other Courses
Please note that classroom courses and e-learning courses on the Defence Learning Portal (DLP) cannot be booked directly through this website.
When you have found the course you wish to attend, you have several options available to you:
MOD Civilian and Military Staff:
- Self Service: Those with HRMS access are able to view full course details, dates, availability and locations on-line. Most courses can be self booked via HRMS although some are not open for self booking due to restrictions on attendance. Where the message "Contact Training Provider" is shown then please contact the Course Administrator using the booking helpline 01793 314485 (option 1) to determine the booking process.
- For those without access to HRMS or where self booking for a particular course is not permitted, there are two alternative methods available:
- Telephone Booking: Available for the majority of courses via our booking helpline on 01793 314485 (option 1). Where specific circumstances require a written application, perhaps because supporting paperwork is required, you will be directed to apply using an application form.
- Application Form: Non-fee paying customers should complete a DA-CMT Form 1. This can be posted to us at Foxhill or emailed to defac-cmt-ab-br-cs@mod.uk Incomplete forms will be returned which will delay the application process.
Fee Paying Customers:
Most of our courses are open to Industry, Trading Fund agencies, Other Government Departments. Due to organisational restructuring, we are temporarily unable to accept fee paying delegates on our courses. We are creating a new process to deal with these applications in line with MOD and Treasury guidelines and policy. To ensure that we have your correct contact details please email us defac-cmt-ab-br-enquiries@mod.uk with your contact details and course requirements and we will contact you as soon as we are able to accept fee paying delegates.
Cancelling a Classroom Course
Delegates who are forced to cancel their place on a course should inform us immediately by contacting a member of the Customer Service Team on the booking helpline 01793 314485 (option 1). If it is outside the helpline hours of 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 and 1.00 to 3.00 p.m. and the course is the next day or that day then please email defac-cmt-ab-br-cs@mod.uk
In line with current DE&S and DA-CMT policy all cancellations should be for exceptional reasons only and must be approved by your Line Manager.
Fee-Paying Delegates should refer to the terms and conditions of their application form and identify the prevailing rates of cancellation.
In the event that we are forced to cancel or postpone an event, delegates will be informed by either written notification, e-mail or telephone. You will also be advised if there is an alternative or rescheduled date available.
If you need some further guidance and would like to discuss your training needs with a member of our customer services team, please contact 01793 314485 (option 1).
